Kenyattah Robinson
President & CEO
Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District

As President & CEO of the MVT CID, Kenyattah Robinson is responsible for overall management of the organization, including leading operations, planning, program development, financial management, communications, marketing and branding, special events, community organizing, fundraising, public speaking and reporting; working with the District of Columbia and Federal government, Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners and National Park Service; and managing all staff including a seven-person crew of Clean Team Ambassadors. With more than 18 combined years of combined public- and private-sector management, real estate finance and advisory, policy, public affairs, and urban placemaking experience, Mr. Robinson previously served as a Senior Vice President | National Director on the Public Institutions team at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) where his primary responsibilities included developing strategies to help public-sector organizations achieve their mission objectives through public-private partnerships and other venture opportunities to maximize the value of their real property assets. A New Orleans native of the Upper Ninth Ward and graduate of the “blue ribbon” Benjamin Franklin Senior High School, he earned his B.A. in liberal arts and business from Louisiana State University (LSU) and an M.B.A. from the Johnson School at Cornell University. He lives in the Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood of Washington, DC with his wife, Marnique Heath Robinson, who is a Principal in the Washington, DC office of STUDIOS Architecture, served as previous Chair of DC’s Board of Zoning Adjustment, and serves as current Chair of DC’s Historic Preservation Review Board.

Leon JLeon Johnsonohnson

Leon Johnson is Director of Operations for the Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District. Mr. Johnson’s responsibilities include managing the Clean Team Ambassadors, leading public space maintenance & safety efforts, interfacing with property managers and retailers, and building relationships and working in a concerted manner with City agencies, MPD, and Mount Vernon Triangle stakeholders. Leon plays an active role in achieving the MVT CID’s goals and objectives.

Prior to joining the MVT CID in February of 2014, Johnson directed the operations and safety of the Capitol Riverfront Business Improvement District. He was initially the manager of the Clean and Safe team crew through a contract with Service Group, Inc., and then was promoted to Director of Parks and Public Realm, with responsibility for the overall maintenance and security of Yards Park. Prior to his work at Capitol Riverfront, Johnson served as Regional Operations Manager for Metropolitan Health Services and with Verizon Wireless as Manager of Operations for their Clinton, MD retail store and as a Verizon Wireless Customer Service supervisor. Johnson also holds his residential real estate license with Coldwell Banker House Hold Realty.

Jerome Raymond
Real Estate and Planning Manager
Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District

Jerome Raymond is the Real Estate and Planning Manager for the MVT CID. Jerome works with the MVT CID team, tracking and analyzing development projects and retail opportunities, planning for transportation improvements and public realm activation, preparing and monitoring the collection of CID taxes, conducting research, writing grant applications, and other tasks. Jerome is currently working towards his Master of Real Estate degree at Georgetown University and has been interning with the MVT CID this past winter and spring. 

Jerome has a background in urban planning and economic development, interning in prior years for local real estate developer, Akridge, where he conducted acquisitions and market research for employment, demographic and development trends, and consulting to the City of Montreal, Canada on urban planning and development for a 2 km commercial avenue. Jerome is a member of NAIOP MD/DC’s Developing Leaders and Mentorship Program, ULI’s Young Leaders and Mentorship Program and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Clean Team Ambassadors

The MVT CID Clean Team Ambassadors consist of seven crew members working daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The team is funded in part by a grant from DC Department of Small and Local Business and is affiliated with Ready to Work job training program at Central Union Mission (previously Gospel Rescue Ministry). The MVT CID supports DC City services, working closely with our team to ensure a clean and safe neighborhood.
